May 27, 2015

The death has occured of Bryan Keane, Metalwork/ Engineering teacher (retired) Athboy. Bryan passed away suddenly following an accident he was involved in with his light aircraft. Bryan came to Athboy, Co. Meath to teach in the Vocational School and later St. James' Vocational School, from which he retired in 2004. He settled into the area with ease, establishing a family home where he and
his wife Madaline reared five children. After retirement Bryan and his family moved to Williamstown, Kells. However, he remained greatly involved in the parish and community of Athboy, serving as chairperson to the local Credit Union. Bryan was a highly respected member of the community in
Athboy. A past member of the association. He was much loved and will be fondly remembered by those with whom he shared his love of learning and, more specifically, Engineering. His legacy will live on. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
