ETTA Conference

The ETTA conference is held each November and constitutes a number of different elements for Engineering Teachers in Ireland.

Friday Evening

This is an opportunity for Members to meet with suppliers to schools that take stands at the conference to display some of the items they supply to engineering teachers.

There is also an opportunity for teachers to view the projects that have been entered into the Young Engineer Competition for that year.

We also have the conference meal, in which the conference weekend is officially opened by an invited guest with a link to Education or Engineering in Ireland. At the conference meal, we also host both the 25 year and 40 year reunion of Engineering graduates.

Saturday

On Saturday, the vendor's display continues for members that arrive for that day.

The ETTA AGM takes place on the Saturday morning followed by a presentation of that year's prescribed topic for members (With 2026 being the last year of the presentation with the prescribed topic being replaced as part of the Leaving Cert update in Engineering).

On Saturday afternoon is the Awards presentation both for the Entrants and winners of the Various Young Engineer competitions run by the ETTA as well as the top marks in the various categories of subjects taught by our members.

Workshops

Each year, the organising committee organised workshops for members on various topics that members can attend.
