EPI•STEM Supporting ETTA and Engineering & Technology Teachers Nationwide

ETTA is delighted to acknowledge the strong and ongoing support of EPI•STEM, who are valued sponsors of the Engineering Technology Teachers Association and exhibitors at our National Conference and AGM.

We are especially grateful to EPI•STEM for hosting our recent ETTA 40th Anniversary celebration and for their continued commitment to supporting Engineering, technology and STEM education in Ireland. Their partnership with ETTA highlights a shared dedication to high-quality teaching, professional collaboration, and the ongoing development of Engineering and Technology education at post-primary level.

EPI•STEM, the National Centre for STEM Education based in the School of Education, University of Limerick, provides a wide range of supports and resources for teachers through the EPI•STEM Academy of STEM Teachers. Their online platform at epistem.ie offers research-led CPD materials and practical classroom resources designed to support and enhance teaching practice.

Among the latest additions to their platform are two new Engineering resources and accompanying supplementary materials for teachers:

  • Classroom Workshop Management and Safety in Post Primary Schools: Legislation and Guiding Documents

  • Skills Development Practical Project in Engineering: Plane Trophy Project

These resources, created by Mr John Morris of EPI•STEM and the Department of Education and Health Sciences, UL, are available within the Engineering & Technology section of the EPI•STEM Academy of STEM Teachers, under CPD Presentations and Supplementary CPD Resources.

We encourage all Engineering and Technology teachers to explore these valuable materials and the wider range of supports available through EPI•STEM:

ETTA sincerely thanks EPI•STEM for their generous support, sponsorship, and continued contribution to Engineering & Technology education.
